Terms of Use

1. Registration & Contract Formation

By completing and submitting a registration for an Event organised by Corpolinx, the delegate confirms unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and forms a binding legal agreement to attend and pay all applicable fees.

Upon successful registration, a confirmation email will be issued to the nominated email address. Delegates are responsible for ensuring all registration details are accurate and must notify Corpolinx of any errors within 2 business days of receiving confirmation.

Corpolinx reserves the right to decline or reject any registration at its absolute discretion without providing reasons and without liability.

2. Payment Terms

All fees are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. GST will be applied at the prevailing rate.

Full payment is required upon receipt of invoice. Payment must be received no later than 3 business days from the date of invoice. Where registration occurs less than 14 days prior to the Event, payment is due immediately upon registration.

Where payment is not received within the required timeframe, Corpolinx reserves the right to:

  • Cancel the registration and issue an invoice for a cancellation fee of $299 + GST per delegate; and/or

  • Pursue recovery of all outstanding fees as a debt, including any reasonable administration and recovery costs.

For the avoidance of doubt, registration constitutes a binding financial commitment. The obligation to pay all applicable fees arises upon submission of registration, regardless of whether payment has been made or a tax invoice has been issued.

Corpolinx reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate whose account is not paid in full prior to the Event.

3. Cancellation, Substitution & No-Shows

3.1 Substitution

Registered delegates may nominate a substitute attendee from the same organisation at no additional cost, provided written notice is received by Corpolinx no later than 24 hours prior to Event commencement. Pass sharing or splitting of attendance between multiple individuals is strictly prohibited.

3.2 Delegate Cancellation

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Corpolinx and are only effective upon written acknowledgement from Corpolinx. The following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations received 28 or more days prior to the Event: a non-refundable credit note will be issued for future use, valid for 12 months from the date of issue, less an administration fee of $299 + GST per delegate.

  • Cancellations received less than 28 days prior to the Event: no credit note, refund, or compensation of any kind will be issued. Full fees remain payable.

Credit notes are non-transferable outside the registering organisation. Any employee or representative of the registered organisation may redeem the credit note on behalf of that organisation. Credit notes may not be sold, assigned, or transferred to any third party or external organisation.

Inability to attend due to illness, injury, travel disruption, personal or professional circumstances, or any other reason does not entitle a delegate to a refund, credit note, or any other form of compensation outside the terms stated above.

3.3 No-Show

Failure to attend the Event without prior written cancellation will result in forfeiture of all fees paid. No credit note, refund, or compensation will be issued in any circumstances.

4. Refund Policy

ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE.

No refunds, part-refunds, cash equivalents, or alternative compensation will be provided under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Inability to attend due to illness, injury, or medical condition (including that of a delegate or their family member);

  • Personal, professional, or business circumstances;

  • Travel disruption, transport failure, or extreme weather;

  • Changes to the Event programme, speakers, venue, format, or timing;

  • Dissatisfaction with the Event content, delivery, or outcome.

Where eligible under these Terms, Corpolinx may at its sole discretion issue a credit note for future Corpolinx Events. The issuance of a credit note does not constitute a refund and has no cash value.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights a consumer may have under applicable Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

5. Event Programme, Speakers & Changes

While Corpolinx will use reasonable endeavours to deliver the Event as advertised, all Event details — including but not limited to speakers, topics, agenda items, venue, format, timing, and technology platforms — are subject to change without notice and without liability.

Corpolinx reserves the right at its absolute discretion to:

  • Amend, expand, or reduce the Event programme or schedule;

  • Substitute, add, or remove any speaker or presenter;

  • Change the venue, format (including converting to an online or hybrid format), or timing;

  • Postpone, reschedule, or merge the Event with another event.

No refunds, credit notes, or compensation of any kind will be provided as a result of any such changes. Delegates are advised to make flexible travel and accommodation arrangements.

6. Cancellation or Postponement of Event by Corpolinx

In the event that Corpolinx cancels or postpones an Event, Corpolinx will provide registered delegates who have paid in full with a credit note equal to the registration fee paid, valid for 12 months from the date of issue, for use at a future Corpolinx Event.

Where an Event is merged with another Corpolinx event rather than cancelled, no credit note will be issued. Delegate registrations will be transferred to the merged event automatically.

The credit note remedy described in this clause is the sole and exclusive remedy available to delegates in the event of an Event cancellation or postponement by Corpolinx. Corpolinx is not responsible for, and expressly excludes all liability in respect of, any additional costs or losses incurred by delegates including but not limited to:

  • Airline, train, bus, or other transport bookings (refundable or non-refundable);

  • Hotel, accommodation, or venue hire costs;

  • Car hire, parking, or ground transport;

  • Lost wages, opportunity costs, or business losses;

  • Visa or travel documentation costs;

  • Any other associated direct, indirect, or consequential expenses.

Delegates are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and event cancellation insurance prior to making any travel or accommodation arrangements.

7. Force Majeure

Corpolinx shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay arises from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, or severe weather;

  • Pandemic, epidemic, public health emergency, or government-directed health measures;

  • Acts of war, terrorism, civil unrest, or government action;

  • Labour disputes, strikes, or industrial action;

  • Venue unavailability, building closure, or venue-imposed restrictions;

  • Failure of third-party services including technology platforms, utilities, or internet infrastructure;

  • Government restrictions, regulations, or directions prohibiting or restricting the Event.

In such circumstances, Corpolinx may cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify, or convert the Event to an online format without liability. The credit note provisions of clause 6 shall apply where Corpolinx cancels an Event due to force majeure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Corpolinx (including its officers, employees, contractors, and agents) expressly excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost, expense, or claim (whether direct, indirect, special, consequential, or otherwise) arising from or in connection with:

  • Attendance or non-attendance at the Event;

  • Cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, or alteration of the Event;

  • The content, accuracy, quality, or outcome of the Event;

  • Any act or omission of any speaker, sponsor, exhibitor, or third party;

  • Any loss or theft of personal property at or in connection with the Event;

  • Any personal injury, illness, death, or accident occurring at or in connection with the Event, to the fullest extent permitted by law;

  • Travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by delegates.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law), Corpolinx’s total liability is limited, at Corpolinx’s election, to the resupply of the relevant services or payment of the cost of having those services resupplied, or the amount paid by the delegate for the relevant Event registration — whichever is lesser.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by any legislation that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

9. Delegate Health, Safety & Personal Risk

Delegates attend the Event entirely at their own risk. Each delegate is solely responsible for their own health, safety, and wellbeing before, during, and after the Event.

By registering and attending, each delegate acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They are physically and medically fit to attend the Event;

  • They will comply with all venue safety rules, emergency procedures, and any health directions in place at the time of the Event;

  • Corpolinx is not responsible for any illness, injury, accident, loss, or damage suffered by a delegate or any person accompanying a delegate, to the fullest extent permitted by law;

  • They will not attend the Event if they are unwell, infectious, or subject to any public health direction that restricts their attendance.

Corpolinx reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any delegate who poses a health or safety risk to other attendees or staff, without refund or credit.

10. Code of Conduct

Delegates are expected to behave in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner at all times during the Event, including towards other delegates, speakers, sponsors, Corpolinx staff, and venue personnel.

Corpolinx reserves the right to refuse entry to or immediately remove any delegate whose behaviour is deemed, in Corpolinx’s sole opinion, to be inappropriate, disruptive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or unsafe. No refund, credit note, or compensation will be provided in such circumstances, and the delegate remains liable for all fees.

11. Intellectual Property

All materials distributed, presented, or made available at or in connection with the Event — including but not limited to presentations, handouts, recordings, digital content, and brand materials — are the intellectual property of Corpolinx or its contributors and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

No materials may be copied, reproduced, distributed, recorded, photographed, screenshotted, shared on social media, or otherwise dealt with without the prior written consent of Corpolinx. Breach of this clause may result in removal from the Event without refund and may expose the delegate to legal proceedings.

12. Recording, Photography & Marketing

Corpolinx may photograph, audio-record, video-record, or livestream all or part of the Event for commercial, promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.

By registering and attending the Event, each delegate irrevocably consents to the capture and use of their image, likeness, voice, and participation (in whole or in part) in any media format, including digital, online, print, and broadcast, without compensation or further notice.

Delegates who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must notify Corpolinx in writing prior to the Event. Corpolinx will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from all Event footage.

13. Privacy & Data Handling

Personal information collected by Corpolinx in connection with Event registration and attendance is handled in accordance with Corpolinx’s Privacy Policy, available at the Corpolinx website and incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Delegate contact details, including name, title, organisation, email address, and phone number, may be shared with Event sponsors, partners, and other registered delegates for networking and commercial purposes. Delegates who do not consent to such sharing must notify Corpolinx at the time of registration by ticking the relevant opt-out on the registration form.

Corpolinx may use delegate information to communicate about future events and services. Delegates may opt out at any time by contacting Corpolinx or using the unsubscribe mechanism in any electronic communication.

14. Indemnity

Each delegate agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Corpolinx and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • The delegate’s breach of these Terms;

  • The delegate’s conduct at or in connection with the Event;

  • Any claim by a third party arising from the delegate’s actions or omissions.

15. Variation of Terms

Corpolinx reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated Terms will be published on the Corpolinx website and will apply to all registrations made after the date of publication. Registrations made prior to an amendment remain subject to the Terms in effect at the time of registration.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable in whole or in part, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the registration confirmation and any event-specific terms communicated to delegates, constitute the entire agreement between the delegate and Corpolinx with respect to the Event and supersede all prior representations, discussions, and agreements.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the Federal Court of Australia.
